A 20 man posse with state police and county officers hunted three running from burglaries, surrounding them in a sugar camp. Leonard Geer 16 was shot in the hand as he tried to flee. Worlo Geer 14 and Francis Mason 16 were jailed. District Attorney Mook will file charges.

Burns Prove Fatal to Young Wife in Trailer Blast
Mrs. Mary Thompson, 38, died after a gasoline stove exploded in her Confluence trailer as she cooked. Her husband Ephraim Thompson, 36, sustained burns while trying to beat out the flames. Coroner F. E. Sass deemed the death accidental and no inquest was needed. The couple’s trailer burned. Mary Thompson’s body was to be shipped to Marlboro, Massachusetts for funeral services.
