Tragic Turnpike Crash Kills Washington Mother and Daughter
A Washington D C mother Mary Bismark 35 and her five year old daughter Joan died in a two car crash on the Pennsylvania turnpike east of Somerset. Four others were injured. The accident raised Somerset county turnpike fatalities for 1941 to 32 with nine on the local stretch. Also killed were John Bismark en route to hospital and injured included Anita 14 and Mary Jane 16 Bismark daughters and Robert E Wilt 46 of Juniata Altoona. The WILT wife was hospitalized later with injuries. An inquest will follow when the injured recover.
