In Kokomo Indiana three year old Janet Leicht daughter of a lost air force lieutenant died of a malignant brain tumor. She had been flown to Valley Forge army hospital for an exploratory operation and celebrated her third birthday there while receiving gifts from across the nation. Her mother Ruth Leicht had learned of the tumor when Janet was about one. Janet died at home on a Thursday with medical supervision ongoing since her April return.
