Body of Driscoll Found in Yough Dam
The body of Charles R. Driscoll of Connellsville, missing since Monday, was found Thursday at 1 45 p m beneath the Yough dam by Walter Bowen and James Hostetler of the Confluence Fire Company. He leapt from the Confluence bridge, and death is presumed suicide. Survived by wife, child, parents James J and Mrs Driscoll, several sisters and brothers. The body is at a Connellsville undertaker.

Japanese Movie Strike Ends at Toho Studio
About 1500 Japanese film workers ended a four month sit down strike at Toho Studio under an ultimatum supported by American troops. Workers marched from the barricaded compound singing the Internationale as 300 steel helmeted police moved in to end the tense stand off. US Army First Cavalry withdrew from the area.
