The body of 17 year old Elizabeth Krupper was found along Route 219 between Gray and Sipesville by Everett Mullen of Somerset early Monday. Police rushed the scene and she was taken to Somerset Community Hospital where she was listed as improving. She had collapsed from illness, not violence, and her parents are Mr and Mrs Paul Krupper of Jenners.

A board of viewers awarded nearly 5400 to two Somerset township farmers for damages from Pennsylvania turnpike construction. Carrie Weller received 4490 for 10.38 acres abutting the old Pittsburgh Westmoreland and Somerset Railroad right of way. Charles C. George Bushanic 70, of Cleveland Ohio and former Windber resident, collapsed Saturday at St Marys Greek Catholic Cemetery Windber while inspecting a lot he owned. Coroner attributes death to a cerebral hemorrhage. Surviving: widow Mary Metro Bushanic and many children in Ohio and Windber plus 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
