UN says Reds shot down unarmed trainer plane
The United Nations Command accused Communist forces of wanton barbarism after an unarmed trainer plane with two U S service members aboard was shot down near the neutral zone between South and North Korea. Maj Gen Harlan C Parks called the act a continuous murderous ground fire and prepared to seek a meeting of the armistice commission.

Youngstown Man Injured In One Car Turnpike Crash
