Public Enemy No 1 Held After Louisville Gunfight
Desperado Earl D. Bircham, sought for multiple robberies totaling near $87,000, was captured by an unarmed ex marine in Louisville after a gun battle that killed officer John H. Tennyson and seriously wounded another officer. Luther Williams, a 37 year old former marine, subdued Bircham and handed him to police.
