Somerset's Crouse Cadets, state champions, will travel to New York City for the American Legion national convention parade on Fifth Avenue Tuesday, August 26. Train engineer dies at throttle after signaling for help
Philadelphia August 12 an INS report says 58 year old locomotive engineer Herbert A Brown of the Pennsylvania Railroad died at the throttle on Delaware avenue waterfront tracks but managed to stop the engine before death. Police say he suffered a heart attack while operating the engine and other trainmen were called after he blew his whistle in a call for aid.
