Russian Consul General Jacob M. Lomakin refused to acknowledge a habeas corpus writ served on the steps of the consulate seeking the production of Mrs. Oksana Kosenkina, a Russian teacher detained at the consulate. The writ, obtained by Christopher Emmet and Peter Hoguet, alleges she is being held by force and deceit. The teacher was said to have sought sanctuary at Valley Cottage after Lomakin claimed to “rescue” her from a White Russian camp.

Murchie’s car crossed the median and overturned colliding with Berreidder Mrs Flora Murchie suffered a sprained neck with about 300 in damage to Murchie’s vehicle and 50 to Berreidder’s.

Havana Bank Robbery Nets $562000 in Broad Daylight

Adkins Waives Extradition in Ohio Murder Case
Verlin E. Adkins 26 of Huntington waived extradition and will return to Ohio to face murder charges in the death of Birdie Gillette 34 at Rittman. He was arrested Tuesday night without resistance after an oral police statement. He said he and Gillette slept on a bed, woke to find her dead, and he later doubted his role.
