Harrisburg AP Three major educational organizations plan a joint push for higher teacher salaries and school subsidies from the 1963 Pennsylvania legislature. The Pennsylvania State Education Association the Pennsylvania Congress of Parents and Teachers and the State School Directors Association will coordinate efforts for the first time. A meeting for Aug 13 will draft the joint program. Somerset Man Hospitalized In Truck Wreck
Brady Smith of 160 Oak Street Somerset was hospitalized after his tractor trailer overturned on Route 551 near Beaver Falls. He sustained facial and arm cuts plus bruises, was admitted to Providence Hospital, and truck damage was about $10,000. The westbound rig rolled after leaving the road and blocked the highway for some time before removal.
