Rescue Mother and Son From Gas Filled Well
In Wheeling West Virginia on August 5 two Pittsburgh men saved Mrs Ora Dick and her 15 year old son John from a gas filled well. John became unconscious while cleaning the well and Mrs Dick went to his aid both were overwhelmed. Kaelin descended 25 feet to attach a rope to the victims and Schasman pulled them to safety. They were taken to a Wheeling hospital. Investigators believe dynamite explosions caused the gas.
