Meyersdale School Board Forms Finance Authority for Elementary Project
Meyersdale Area School Board set up a local school authority to finance the elementary school building project. It named Arthurs Lestrange and Short of Pittsburgh as advisers, and will seek a site purchase bid from the Somerset County Development Council. The projected 35 room school carries an estimated total bond issue of about 3.05 million dollars. The board will submit a site petition to the state and considers buying a 400 foot strip from the Meyers farm bounded by the Casselman River and the high school.

House votes for Sunday liquor sales bill in Harrisburg
