The award signed by the adjutant general was issued from the St Louis records center after eleven years. Gambino served three years with the Sixth Armored Division and moved to Somerset in 1950 from Martinsburg West Virginia. He lives on West Race Street with his family and is active in the Lutheran church and the Somerset Lions Club.

Truck Runs Wild Down Embankment After Brake Failure
Tarentum August 2 a truck ran down a steep grade crashed through a guard rail and plunged 150 feet onto railroad tracks. The driver Richard Denelsbeck 21 of Pittsburgh suffered a head cut and bruises after the truck split in two.
