Pittsburgh industrialist Alan Magee Scaife died last week leaving about two million dollars in bequests and trust funds. His wife Mrs. Sarah Mellon Scaife and Mellon National Bank & Trust Co. named executors. Notable bequests include 10 000 Gulf Oil shares for his mother, 250 000 to Magee Hospital, and 250 000 to Pittsburgh health center endowment. His children Richard and Cordelia, plus Yale University receive portions.

The Thompson Brothers carnival opened the week. committee heads were Robert Morgan and J C Miller with Clarence Weimer leading the firemen's association.

Two Minor Somerset Highways Crashes Reported
