Public relief case filed against Creta and Fadule in Pottsville
Frank Creta and Mary Fadule of Shenandoah faced charges for receiving public assistance under false pretenses. Investigators say they collected 5496.30 dollars from Aug 1 1945 to Jun 1 1949 while Creta earned 13000 dollars wage as a Locust Coal Co rock contractor. The couple actually received 7247.10 dollars in relief in that period. A related June 1949 to June 1950 charge was previously filed and Creta is out on 1000 dollar bail on the earlier case.

Harrisburg reports Gov. James H. Duff stating the 28th Pennsylvania National Guard will report for active service within 30 days. More 8 29 Bombers to Join Korea Force
