Driver skill defeats Summit Mountain runaway truck
Glenn Switzer of Fairmont Nebraska drove a sugar truck down Summit mountain Route 40 in a two mile slide. Trooper Ren Silbaugh stopped the vehicle with a siren assisted push and kept pedestrians clear as the driver slowed and halted the rig. Switzer was treated for shock and later collapsed before rallying at a hospital.
