In Soda Springs a grand Friday night dance drew crowds to the school gymnasium with the Big Four Jasx orchestra of BMonopelier providing music. A pre-dance banquet at the T. G. O. F hall hosted ex-service men, their families and sweethearts, organized by War Mothers, and the event was described as a brilliant success with about sixty ex-service members attending.
A lengthy article notes dramatic reviewers writing on a serial for the first time. It discusses The Silent Avenger from Vitagraph, star Duncan, and the push to restore farming as national strength amid wage and harvest pressures. It mentions the series is to appear weekly at the Opera House starting June 9.

A brutal double homicide near Bancroft left Mr. and Mrs. Jennings dead from gunshot and blunt force injuries. The victims, found beside a Ford car after camping plans were aborted, were identified as Frank D. Jennings and Ella Jennings. Investigators reported two men in a large touring car seen nearby and a $1000 reward offered by Sheriff Mabey as the search for suspects widens.
Stare MRA Bay announces a large event for Saturday June 5th featuring a five course banquet at the High School cafeteria, a children's dance, an eleven booth bazaar, outdoor games including a double tender baseball game, and an evening dance with live orchestra. Ward associations coordinate activities aiming for a big turnout and festive program.
