Ezra Meeker known as Trail Blazer in Pocatello history
Ezra Meeker gained local fame in April 1906 when he arrived with ox team and dog to place markers for the Oregon Trail and Fort Hall. He funded a Women’s Study League treasury with $86, spoke in 23 school rooms, and oversaw lava rock markers mislocated at Oregon Trail and The Adobes site. He pursued locating Fort Hall through 1910 1916 and finally succeeded in 1921 drawing crowds from Portneuf and nearby towns for his Fort Hall address.

Truck tips and Bursts into Flame on Tin Cup Grade

Twin Falls births birth of 1 pound boy Charles Jr Williams

May burn pelts after bounty paid in Idaho
Boise December 4 state sheep commission says paying one bounty on each predatory animal is enough. County boards will be asked December 7 to burn pelts when brought in instead of selling as furs. Fire discovered about 4:00 a m Thursday morning gutted Grace High School building. Inadequate equipment and low water flow hindered efforts to combat the blaze. The structure cost about 70 000 dollars with roughly two thirds insured.

Pioneer Woman Answers Final Call
Mary Ann Deveridge known as Aunt Polly died Monday at 7 30 at Mrs Josephine Ronbeck home. She was 88 years 7 months and 2 days old and had lived in the territory for many years. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the L D S Church with Bishop Hayes and Sen D J Lau in charge. Interment was in Soda Mound Cemetery.
