The Snyder Jaycees led by President Mickey Nunley financed a $9000 relief project after a August tornado near Helmleigh. By September 20 the drive was over the top as four FHA surplus houses were purchased and moved to Helmleigh with foundation work, funded by cash and in kind contributions.

Passengers Stranded After Cuban Detention of Jet
