The Concorde SST built by British and French interests will touch American soil for the first time tomorrow. It is scheduled to land at the new Dallas Fort Worth Airport around 11 a.m. and stay through Sunday for dedication events.

Nixon Urges Cash Payments For Housing
President Nixon urged Congress to authorize direct cash housing payments as an alternative to large public housing projects. He proposed expanding a 1970 experiment, prioritizing elderly poor, and said subsidies could cover the gap between what a family can afford and safe housing costs. A final decision is expected by late 1974 or early 1975. He also called for new rents to be set for low income families and lifted the Section 23 suspension to lease more housing.

Snyder Student Named National Merit Semifinalist in 1974
Snyder High School student Raleen Martin is named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist. Principal Horrace Bostick announced the honor, noting she competes for about 3100 Merit Scholarships. National Merit reports 34 450 past scholars have won awards totaling 95.5 million dollars.
