Irving Boy Dies After Fall From Pickup Truck
A 12 year old Irving boy Grover Duane Gore died when he fell from the back of a pickup 82 miles south of Hempling on U S 84 near Inadale. He was pronounced dead at Simmons Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater at 1 15 a m by Justice of the Peace T F Shelburne. The mishap occurred about an hour earlier when the boy, sleep ing, rolled from the vehicle operated by his step father Halfwayne Burnett of Irving. The accident involved a bed built in the pickup for the children and the boy struck his head on the pavement.

Snyder Council Backs RSP HQ Move and Sets Review Panel
The Snyder City Council passed a resolution supporting Roscoe Snyder and Pacific Railway to designate Snyder as its headquarters. A Texas Railroad Commission hearing is set for 10 a.m. Thursday in Austin. City officials will attend, including Mayor Bobby McCormick, City Manager L A Patterson, and City Attorney Joe Carroll.
