In Dallas AP report, Donald S Akins testifies about three loans totaling 5.585 million dollars to Sharpstown Realty Co from National Bankers Life Insurance Co. Loans valued at 1.5 million, 2.085 million, and 2 million were secured by Dome Theater land, Conquistador Apartments, and 150,000 Sharpstown State Bank shares. Akins details debit memo use and multiple renewals, noting government probes and possible criminal action. Akins, a former bank executive and real estate figure, discusses his roles and affiliations with Osorio and former Gov. Allen Shivers associates.

The move ends U S hopes for a multi candidate race after talks between U S Ambassador Ellsworth Bunker and Thieu failed to produce a plural field. The Supreme Court had earlier removed Vice President Nguyen Cao Ky from the ballot, making it a one man race.
Mrs. Loyd Farmer seeks a dog her daughter Kay was bitten by this morning. The dog resembles a German Shepherd, answers to Man, and was seen near the Clairemont Highway gas plant around 7 a.m. Call 573-3314 to recover for observation before rabies shots.
