Flooding cut power and roads and a 2.22 inch downpour around Hunt fed runoff toward the Guadalupe River.

Rural Home Burglarized Near Roby Highway
A burglary occurred Thursday morning at the Bill Masters residence about three miles east of town on the Roby Highway. Jewelry and a piggy bank with about $20 were taken during a rainstorm around 9:30 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s office.

Absentee Voting Opened for Runoff in Scurry County
Absentee voting is underway for the runoff and second primary with the last day for balloting set for Tuesday May 31.
