Lake J. B. Thomas Rises 1.38 Feet After Weekend Rains
The lake received an estimated 10 000 acre feet from Bull Creek and the Colorado River, lifting the level to 2253.55 feet by last night. The rise puts it within about four and a half feet of the service spillway and two feet of the record high set in October 1955. Water inflow slowed to near zero late last night, with Snyder pump station noting a rise of about 0.01 foot every two hours. The lake has gained more than five and one half feet since spring rains began.
