Mrs. Travis Rhoades, fourth grade teacher at West Elementary, was named Snyder Teacher Of The Year at a Friday night banquet honoring past board members and service teachers. She received a silver cup and 250 from the Diamond M Foundation, presented by Lt. Mark McLaughlin. Rhoades, wife of a farmer, lives in the Lloy d Mountain community. Dr John O Christianson of the University of Minnesota spoke, praising the Snyder schools and noting Asia houses 56 of the world’s 710 million youths aged five to twenty.
