Strawn No. 2 Buffaloe hits water and oil in Scurry
The Buffaloe No. 2 oil well in Strawn, Scurry County, is pumping water and small oil flow. Gauge reports show 1,200 barrels of water and 23 barrels of oil on the latest reading. Previous gauges logged 750 barrels water with 10 barrels oil and 1,449 barrels water with 19 barrels oil. The well is plugged back to 7,595 feet near the No. 14 Cunningham Strawn discovery. Other wells in the area include American Trading No. 1 Ellmer Howell coring at 7,396 feet and several tests in Scurry with depths ranging from 4,333 to 7,004 feet.

Reward Doubled for Missing Boy in New Mexico
The reward for John Wade, three year old son of the Rev. and Mrs. Anthem Wade, rose from 5000 to 10000 dollars for information leading to his safe return.
