MOSCOW AP Two more Soviet dissidents were sentenced to three years in a labor camp followed by two years internal exile on charges of anti Soviet agitation and propaganda. The same day Yuri Orlov was sentenced.

Associated Press reports Belgium and Paris confirm French Foreign Legion paratroopers have entered Kolwezi to rescue foreigners and aid the Zaire government. Belgian officials say 1,000 to 1,200 troops may join the operation, while rebel spokesmen claim French forces fight on the rebel side.
Brussels reports say French paratroopers reportedly dropped on Kolwezi airport, trapping foreigners in the copper city. Belgian spokesmen said Paris notified Brussels after a drop, while France claimed an operation was in progress with details to come.
The Pentagon ordered about 1,500 Army paratroopers back to normal status after nearly three days on alert for a possible rescue of American civilians in Zaire. Spokesman Sam Floca said two battalions at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, would return to normal status. He declined to discuss U S military aid to Zaire or Belgian French troops. Emergency shipments of U S equipment to Zaire were expected to begin in days under Carter's national security declaration.
Congressman Omar Burleson announced that Western Texas College has been approved by the U.S. Office of Education for a college work study grant of 52 258 to support about 120 students. The college also received 4 640 for the supplemental educational opportunity grants program aiding eight students.

In Rome opponents of Italy's new abortion law plan a constitutional challenge. The bill, approved by the Senate, allows a free abortion in the first 90 days for physical economic social or psychological reasons for those over 18. Catholic Action criticizes the measure as ignoring public wishes. Movement for Life vows to pursue every constitutional avenue to overturn the legislation.
Heavy thunderstorms raked Northwestern Texas early today, with golf ball size hail and damaging winds reported in some areas. The heaviest storms were along the Caprock from southeast of Lubbock to the Red River, as a warm front stretched across the state. Clouds and cooler air lingered along the Gulf Coast, with afternoon temperatures expected in the 80s and 90s.
Graduation events unfold tonight for Hermleigh Hobbs and Ira seniors with eighth graders also in ceremonies. Hermleigh speakers include David Groves a 1969 alum and Sul Ross graduate with valedictorian Kelly Culp and salutatorian Tracy Kruger. Hobbs features speaker Mike Hicks with valedictorian Tammy Gober and salutatorian Sandra Gordon. Ira speaker Alvin Shambeck founder of West Texas Boys Ranch. Kimberly Layne valedictorian and Paula Clements salutatorian. Eighth graders precede high school exercises at each site and list notable graduates across schools.
