RealSport projects growing demand for Snyder plant output
RealSport Inc. reports strong early demand for its products as Bert Niver of Fort Worth says the market is tremendous. The Snyder plant, at 81 Twenty-fifth Street, trains workers and aims to reach 500 pairs of slacks daily while facing possible shifts to federal contracts. Local tour groups from the Chamber of Commerce Producers Club observed production with plant manager J. W. Taylor, and Niver noted orders for 70,000 pairs from four salesmen across eight states.

Texas Crude Allowable Down Slightly For June
The Railroad Commission cut the June oil allowable to 34.5 percent of potential, ending an eight month rise. June production limits equal 3,241,308 barrels daily with May 15 average at 3,270,498. Major buyers nominated 2,686,492 bpd for June, a drop of 20,208 from May, while the Bureau of Mines forecasts 2,875,000 bpd demand.

Miss Maggie Williams 91 Dies in Snyder
Miss Maggie Williams 91 of Snyder died at Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of Etowah County Alabama she served as Borden County County and District Clerk for 26 years starting in 1916 and ran an abstract business at Gail for about 50 years. Funeral at First Methodist Church Friday at 2 p.m. Burial Snyder Cemetery. Survived by two sisters two nephews District Judge Sterling Williams and Joe V. Robinson and niece Mrs. William J. Schiebel.

Cape Kennedy Florida NASA says May 31 is the earliest launch date for Gemini 9 astronauts Thomas Stafford and Eugene Cernan after an Atlas rocket failure halted their mission. Stafford is an Air Force lieutenant colonel and Cernan a Navy lieutenant commander. The Atlas booster engine loss caused the Atlas-Agena to plunge into the Atlantic 180 miles southeast of Cape Kennedy.
