Chaplin Body Recovered in Switzerland After Theft
The body of Charlie Chaplin, stolen from a village grave the night of March 2, was recovered in Switzerland. Police arrested two alleged thieves, a Pole and a Bulgarian, after they reportedly demanded a ransom for the remains. The body was found near Villeneuve, near Lake Geneva, where Chaplin had spent his final years and was buried on December 27.
