Price Construction Co. won the contract for summer seal coating on Snyder streets. The project covers about 132000 square yards across 100 blocks at 14 cents per square yard, totaling 18480 dollars, beating W D Turner of Lubbock at 14.7 cents per square yard or 19404 dollars.
Harold Lloyd of Snyder died at 7 27 a m after a long illness at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. Funeral services set for 10 a m Thursday at Ira Baptist Church with Rev Carlos McCloud and Rev O L Gober officiating. Burial in Ira Cemetery. Survived by a daughter Tammy Lloyd of Clovis New Mexico a son Scotty Lloyd of Clovis seven sisters and four brothers.
American fighter bombers hit Bach Mai air defense headquarters near Hanoi destroying several structures. The raid coincided with intensified strikes averaging 250 daily as Nixon orders choke points to the south. Spokesmen say effects on the southern offensive will take about 30 days to measure.
