Thomas Stafford and Eugene Cernan underwent a three hour medical checkup at Cape Kennedy and were deemed in excellent condition for the upcoming rendezvous and space walk. Stafford and Cernan, both senior officers, planned to meet with Gemini officials to review the three day flight details.

R L Force of Dallas reports first production from a Cisco driven pay in the Kemp Canyon area near Roby Texas. The No 1 Richard Stuart well flowed 101 barrels of 42 degree crude daily from perforations at 4385 to 4447 feet with 15 percent fracture fluid and gas oil ratio 1650 to 1. Surface pressure 450 pounds. The well lies near section 21 block 2 H&TC survey about three miles west of Roby. A second Force well nearby is planned as a 5000 foot Cisco exploration. Other new completions include Waddell No 1 east stepout to Rotan pool and Sojourner Drilling No 1 Edward Burke in the Shamrock field. The Siegfried McFarland No 2 and related Strawn zone activity expand in Stonewall and Kiowa Peak fields.

AFL-CIO economist urges ending investment tax credit
Nathaniel Goldfinger of the AFL-CIO warned government action to end the 7 percent investment tax credit and raise the corporate profit tax rate could curb a lopsided capital goods boom. He cited rising profits, a stock drop, and industrial production as evidence of imbalanced growth. He opposed general tax increases on the poor and unemployed and noted tax cuts mainly benefit corporations and the top 15 percent of taxpayers.
