Hicks Service Set Thursday
Funeral service for James Ralph Hicks 88 is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Snyder. Hicks, a retired automobile dealer, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Lodge. He was born in Washington and married Martie Akers in 1928. Surviving are his wife, two sisters, and a brother. Burial follows in Snyder Cemetery.

Sen John Tower of Texas said a fire bomb caused a blaze that destroyed his state campaign headquarters with losses over 1 million dollars. He called it a severe blow to his re election effort and noted records and materials were ruined. Authorities reported arson as the cause and a watchman described the attack at about 1130 p m Tuesday.
