Snyder SHS wins third straight UIL state one act title
Snyder High School's one act play cast and crew won the UIL state meet trophy in Austin, led by Allana Patterson as best actress and Mike Dennis as best actor. Hopes Dim For Miners In Sunshine Mine
Kellogg Idaho AP reports 58 miners remain trapped as underground fire res urges. Rescue teams paused at the 3700 foot level after heat and smoke forced abandonment of efforts to reach a shaft hoist and access lower levels where trapped miners may be. The fire has already claimed 35 lives according to mine manager Marvin Chase.
