Mrs. Ellie Wilson dies at 56 in Snyder
Mrs. Ellie Mae Wilson of Snyder died at Cog dell Hospital after being brought from her home by Bell Ambulance. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at East Side Church of Christ with Richard Williams and Ray Bailey officiating. Burial is at Snyder Cemetery. she leaves husband Jim Wilson four daughters one brother and eight grandchildren. She was born October 15, 1906 in Fordyce Arkansas and moved to Snyder in 1924.

John William Crumly 75 of Hermleigh died on Tuesday after being stricken while walking to a store. Funeral services set for 4 pm Thursday at Hermleigh Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Yeats officiating. Burial in Hermleigh Cemetery. Survivors include wife Lelia, children Be Starnes Bertharidge Paul Elby Luke Otis, siblings, 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild. He lived in Scurry County since 1920 and worked for Shell Pipe Line Co and the Santa Fe RS&P Railroads.

Snyder City Council and Rotan Water Board reached terms for Snyder to sell treated water to Rotan on a cost plus 10 percent basis. Rotan plans a pipeline financing via a bond issue, delaying water delivery for months.
