The U S 1st Air Cavalry Division flushed a sizable enemy group 11 miles north of Bong Son, claiming 100 Viet Cong killed and 300 to 400 trapped in a valley. It also seized 30 Viet Cong and 268 suspects as B 52 bombers attacked Viet Cong strongholds near the Cambodian border.
