Snyder High School wins Outstanding 3-A Concert Band at the Buccaneer Music Festival in Corpus Christi, with past honors in 1960 and 1963. The festival drew over 7,500 musicians from Texas Arkansas and Louisiana. Snyder choir earned second division, and multiple students earned first division in solo and ensemble events.

Funeral services for Mrs. A M McPherson 79 were set for 4 p m at the First Presbyterian Church Snyder Cemetery burial under Bell Seale Funeral Home. She died Saturday at Snyder Hospital after a five year illness. Born Minnie Werner in Johnson County September 1 1884 she married A M McPherson in 1920 in Fluvanna. She leaves two stepsons and a sister and a brother, with a Sterling City pastor to officiate.
