Theodore Colton a 27 year old science teacher at Corwin Junior High may return to teaching this fall but must avoid the liquor trade. School District 60 trustees voted unanimously to offer a 1956 57 teaching contract with a bid refraining from employment in any phase of the liquor industry. The board faced criticism from teachers students and parents after a split vote on April 10 and the Pueblo Teachers Foundation began resignations in protest.

Snack Bar Opens At Berlin Tunnel Controversy

School Girl Injured Crossing Farm Road Near Snyder
An eight year old girl, Sandra Jean Bailey, was slightly injured when struck by a car while crossing a farm to market road west of Snyder after getting off a school bus. The driver, George Ray Taylor, 48, was ticketed for failing to stop for a parked bus. The girl was treated at Battenfield Jones Hospital Clinic and released.
