Tragic Good Friday Crashes Kill Fifteen in Texas
A dozen crashes across Texas on Good Friday left at least 15 dead and many injured. In San Antonio a station wagon carrying 15 churchgoers collided with another car, killing seven and injuring many. Texas City saw three dead and several critically hurt in a car truck crash. Padre Island and Cameron area wrecks claimed additional lives, including two college students. Names of victims include Genevo Villarreal, Samuel de la Cruz, and Charles Parker among others.

Doctor's Home Burglarized on Thirty-fifth Street
Burglars forced entry at the residence of Dr. Wilton N. Jones at 2808 Thirty-fifth Street. A safe containing non negotiable stocks and bonds and personal papers was taken along with coins, a wrist watch, and small bills. Entry was gained via a broken south side window. The theft was reported to City Police this morning.
