The Texas Department of Agriculture says 98 percent of Japanese tasters chose Texas grapefruit as tastiest and juiciest in a Brand X type test using unmarked samples from McAllen and other citrus regions. The test followed plans to remove U S grapefruit quotas.

Starting Monday March 29 Snyder residents must dial all seven digits for local calls. Southwestern Bell manager Bill Gilliland explains the change stems from telephone technical improvements and that calls dialed with five digits will not connect after the effective date.
