UIL Hears rules changes on girls sports and televised football
The UIL plans balloting on proposed changes including adding girls golf in 1972 73 and allowing volleyball teams up to three invitational tournaments plus 24 non district matches. Proposals also target girls swimming and basketball game limits. A football televise rule would require mutual consent and sellouts eight hours before kickoff. The state meet returns to one weekend May 4 6. Waco High's 1927 football team set a 784 point record.
