Two men, B. F. Fincher and J. B. Briscoe of Lubbock, were injured around 3 PM when a 60 gallon drum exploded at the Snyder Gasoline Plant three miles NW of the city. Fincher suffered multiple rib fractures, a punctured lung and deep cuts. Briscoe sustained severe burns to both legs. Both were in critical condition at Snyder Hospital.
