A Snyder man, Robert Ray Barman, escaped injury after his 1955 Chevrolet sedan wrecked near the underpass on the Lubbock highway at about midnight. Highway Patrolman Bill Zimmerman said the crash appeared caused by a tire blowout.

Airman Hurt Near Snyder

Russia Pays For Shooting Down Plane
The United States says Russia paid 724,947 dollars as half the cost of a Neptune plane shot down by Soviet fighters over the Bering Sea last June.
