Two More POWs Arrive At Clark Air Base
Two U S military pilots freed from China arrived at Clark Air Base in the Philippines joining 108 other POWs awaiting flights home. Maj Philip E Smith and Lt Cmdr Robert J Flynn traveled from Hong Kong after crossing the Sham Chun River. Flynn and Smith were shot down during the Vietnam War and had both been held since 1965 and 1967 respectively.
