Snyder Independent School District reports 1969 scholastic census total 3,677 up from 3,622 last year with spring enrollment 3,594, 60 more than a year ago. Senior high leads gains at 749, up 40. UIL Foundation offers 138000 in new grants plus 98000 renewals to 155 students in 25 state colleges. A Panamian tanker Esso Honduras collided with a Soviet fishing trawler off North Carolina. The Soviet vessel sank with all hands believed lost. 15 crewmen were aboard. Coast Guard searched the area, found oil, debris and an empty life raft, no survivors reported.
