Lost Sisters Found After Canyon Rescue Near Yuma
Two young sisters Carla Meyer 12 and Jean 9 were rescued in Palm Canyon 80 miles north of Yuma after being lost for 16 hours. Sheriff Jim Washam reported they were carried from a narrow ledge by rope aided by deputies, with an Air Force helicopter and Army jeep assisting the search. Their father Arnold Meyer aided in the efforts.
