An overflow crowd witnessed the 20th annual Junior Livestock Association stock show conclude with a black Angus steer bred by C. T. McLaughlin and shown by Connie Robinson named Grand Champion after winning the light weight division. Sahara Eicke placed second in lightweight with a Hereford, bred by her grandfather Jesse Kodnsman. Eddie Bcike took middle weight honors, Steve Daugherty won heavyweight, and showmanship awards went to Miss Robinson and Woody Allen of Ira FFA.

Snyderite Heads Assn Elects Miller President in College Station
Frank Miller of Snyder was elected president Friday of the Texas Industrial Arts Association at the Industrial Arts Teacher Conference in College Station. He succeeds Dr M D Williamson of North Texas State University and will be executive secretary after outgoing president Williamson. Coliseums Adaptable To A Wide Range Of Activities
Taxpaying voters of Scurry County will decide March 14 whether to issue bonds to finance construction of a coliseum. The facility would serve as a large multi use public venue for conventions rallies sports events and other gatherings. The Snyder High School auditorium currently seats about a thousand.
