West Texas Music Festival Clinicians Arrive For Snyder Event
Three of the six clinicians for the second annual West Texas Music Festival arrive tonight to work with Snyder schools. They join others from UCLA and St Olaf College to coach high school and junior high bands and choirs all day tomorrow, with a pre festival concert at 8 p.m. Tickets are 75 cents and proceeds support the festival. About 2,500 students from 41 organizations are expected for events across the weekend including mass band and choir concerts downtown and at local churches.

Vernon Sanford general manager of the Texas Press Association faced two indictments in Texas first application of a new campaign spending law. He posted $2,000 bond. The grand jury alleged unlawful ad expenditures for Ramsey in the 1954 lieutenant governor race totaling 35 to 41.25 dollars. Ramsey says he had no knowledge or authorization. Johnson sues for 36,500 dollars claiming election law violation.

The health and sanitation committee of the Chamber of Commerce scheduled studies on several projects in its work program. Ernest Sears heads the committee and named Roy Dunlap and J. E. Hall Predicts Nixon Named As Ike Running Mate
Republican National Chairman Leonard W. Hall predicted Vice President Nixon will be President Eisenhower's running mate for a second term. He touted them as the greatest team and said Democrats would be unable to exploit the President's health.
