Funeral service for E. H. Ab Williamson 40 set for 3 p.m. at Colonial Hill Baptist Church. He died Thursday in Hawaii after a heart attack while vacationing. Burial at Snyder Cemetery under Bell Seale Funeral Home direction. He is survived by wife two daughters a son mother two sisters two brothers and a granddaughter. Pallbearers named.
School board completed budget planning for 1974-75 and approved cost-of-living increases for secretaries and maintenance staff. The budget hearing is set for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the East Elementary School cafeteria. Secretaries receive 300 per year plus regular increments. maintenance workers get 25 per month.
Former U S Representative John Dowdy a Democrat from Texas was released six days ahead of schedule from the federal prison medical center in Springfield Missouri authorities said he was now a free man after serving part of his sentence in the medical facility Dowdy had been imprisoned on state and federal charges related to his political career and criminal case with the early release marking a notable turn in his legal saga.
The Snyder American Field Service chapter reports 16 year old Brigitte Glandut from France will join Snyder High School for 1974 75 as a foreign exchange senior completing her final year in France. She will reside with the Jimmie Cornett family and participates in skiing ping pong and other sports. Brigitte arrives in early August.
