David Rodriguez age 17 of 603 Thirtieth Street faced a change in charge from aggravated to deadly assault on a peace officer after a Saturday night shooting in the 600 block of Thirtieth Street. He was moved from city to county jail and goes to bond set at 75000 dollars. Also jailed are Mike Fuentez Luis Fuentez and Carlos Rodriguez each held on 50000 dollar bonds.

Guerrillas to try six Western captives in Eritrea
Ethiopian guerrillas holding six North Americans plan to try two Americans and a Canadian on charges of exploiting Eritrea's resources. The mother of a 7 year old stabbed to death and two injured children faces aggravated assault charges after deputies tried to take custody of the children. Joanne Niles 44 was jailed on a $500 bond. The attack occurred at the family home near the Dyess Air Force Base. Robbie 6 and Kelly 13 were the surviving siblings. Mickey Niles 7 was killed and Kelly hospitalized with stab wounds.
