Transplant Is Failure at Texas Children’s Hospital
A one month old girl, Shelia Renee Sanford of Corigan Texas, died four and a half hours after receiving an infant liver in a transplant at Texas Children’s Hospital. Surgeons said donor artery defect may have caused the death after a three hour operation ending at 2 am. She weighed 15 pounds and had a terminal bile duct blockage.
